Accreditation a must
PRSI had set up the India Foundation for PR Education & Research (IFPR) in 1988 and conducted the first examination leading to APR at Mumbai. Mr. Charanjit Singh of Chandigarh Chapter, was the APR from the first batch, and having topped the examination was recognised at the All India PR Conference, at Kolkata in 1989.  Since IFPR activities got discontinued after sometime, a fresh attempt is being made by many like-minded PR practitioners to set up an institute to conduct the APR examinations in the country and accredit the working PR practitioners.

The recommendations submitted to the expert panel headed by Mr. K. Srinivasan of Prime Point Foundation, Chennai, can be downloaded here.
