Organized a Panel discussion on the current and sensitive topic "Media, Mahila aur Mapdand" in Doordarshan Kendra, Chandigarh. The programme was telecast by DD on 28 January 2010 from 5.13 p.m. to 5.43 p.m. The panelists were Sh. V P Sharma, Chairman, PRSI Chandigarh Chapter and Ms. Madhu P. Singh, an advocate and social activist.
Important issues relating to media, women, high profile media trial, checks and balances were discussed. It was a successful intercalative session.

31st All India Public Relations Conference
Three days 31st All India Public Relations Conference was hosted by Chandigarh Chapter of PRSI at Hotel Shivalikview, Chandigarh from 11.12.2009 to 13.12.2009. The Conference was inaugurated by Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Haryana. Mr. Mookeshwur Choonee, His Excellency High Commissioner of Mauritius presided over the function.
Sh. M.K.Gupta, Chairman, BBMB and Sh. K.K. Khandelwal, IAS Addl. P.S. to Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana and Financial Commissioner (PR) were the Guests of Honor on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Guest Sh Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister, Haryana appreciated the efforts made by PRSI for the uplifting of PR Professionals. On this occasion a souvenir was released on the theme. "Communication Challenges in the Globalised World"
In this three days conference six technical sessions were organized. The following issues were discussed:-
1.Leveraging Trust to meet communication challenges in the globalized Economy.
2.Perception Management.
3.E-Communication.
4.An overview of PR in Mauritius surfing the wave of Change and seizing opportunities.
5.PR Model for Higher Education.
6.PR in Hospitals.
In Valedictory session Mr. Wajahat Habibullah, Hon'ble Chief Information Commissioner, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest. Sh. Hemant Kumar Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN Ltd. presided over the function.
Dr. Ajit Pathak, National President, PRSI addressed the conference. In his address he announced PRSI Agenda-2010 which is as under:-
1.Effectively Show-casing India and the 'potential opportunities in the country'.
2.Continue thrust on programme for national unity, Anti Terrorism and Right to Information.
3.Further cementing ties with Global Alliance, IPRA and the National PR Associations of other countries and presenting "PR in India" in right perspective.
4.Skill upgradation workshops for PR practitioners on strategic PR issues.
5.Focused efforts to influence top managements of companies/organizations for better recognition and effective use of Public Relations.
6.Creation of youth-wing of PRSI for providing strength opportunities and support to the students and the up-coming professionals.
7.Planning and implementation of "Jansampark Nagar" Gurgaon for PRSI HQs, PR Institute of International repute and a residential Housing complex.

National PR Education Day was celebrated by the Chandigarh Chapter at Hotel Monarch, Sector 35, Chandigarh. The Theme of the day was "PR in education" and latest trends in the field of PR. The meritorious students of media studies were facilitated on this occasion.
